Your Pastor Being Brief, for a Change

Just a few quick notes this week to share. Good news for St. Mary Parish: we found out the roof of St Mary church, which we thought needed replacing, is able to be repaired instead at a major savings! The shingles themselves still have another 5 to 10 years left in them.

 

Second, the Massachusetts legislature sadly passed the Bill that the Massachusetts Catholic Conference was warning us about, and the governor signed into law the elimination of late term abortion restrictions. Please join me in praying that the ongoing and growing efforts of churches and pregnancy resource centers to provide alternatives to abortion will meet the needs of, and offer meaningful support to, those experiencing difficult pregnancies - especially those that are fully formed and just growing in size. “A person is a person, no matter how small!”

 

Finally, I will be on vacation this week and traveling to a family wedding next weekend, so please be good to Fr. Patrick as he sustains the priestly ministry in both parishes, with some weekend help from Fr. Bernie.
