Your chosen funeral director will play an important role in coordinating the numerous decisions that must be made, including contacting our parish to schedule the funeral and to arrange for prayers at the funeral home and the graveside.
Both deacons and priests (clergy) lead the various funeral services for both St. Martha Parish and St. Mary Parish. The priests of our collaborative offer funeral Masses in the church. Funeral prayer services that are not Masses (e.g., services in funeral homes) are likely to be led by one of our Deacons.
In order to best meet schedule availability on weekdays for both clergy and music directors, it is preferred that funeral Masses being held at St. Mary Parish be scheduled for 9:00 am or 10:30 am, and that funeral Masses at St. Martha be scheduled for 10:30 am. Requests for funeral Masses at other times and prayer services will be scheduled based on clergy (and music director) availability.
The funeral director will convey the family requests to a priest of our collaborative, and together they will establish the funeral day and time for your loved one.
