Spiritual Reflection & Discussion Guide

 
God calls us by the word that sounds sweetest to us: our name, which helps us feel we belong. Father Joe and the Sunday Experience Team (SET) are happy to announce a new initiative, God Calls Us by Name, informally known as Name Tag Sunday.  We may recognize others who worship at our usual Mass, but we often do not know their names. At all Masses on December 4th and 5th we each will wear name tags at Mass to help us extend a welcoming greeting to those sitting near you, adding an element of personal awareness to our call to “love our neighbor.” During Advent as we prepare for the birth of our Savior, we learn His name: Jesus; so this first Name Tag Sunday is an invitation to share our names with each other.

Please take home a name tag sheet (by the doors); then, create a name tag to wear next weekend (holders will be provided). The clergy and SET plan on Name Tag Sunday becoming a monthly opportunity to build unity and fellowship in our parishes. We look forward to calling you by name!
