Kick-off of PWC's Youth Ministry Vision Team
Hello everyone!
My name is Annalise Cornelius, and I have been a parishioner of the Plainville-Wrentham Collaborative for about four years now.
This morning I hope to briefly tell you about one big way God has been moving this summer. For the past few months, a Vision
Team has been working hard to put into action a Youth Ministry for this upcoming fall. This team included clergy, young adults,
and faith-filled parishioners. We are passionate about creating a
space for middle and high school students to encounter Christ
and connect with their peers.
I stand before you today because of God’s grace finding me
through the youth ministry I was a part of. Countless mentors,
family, and friends who generously gave their time and energy to
sharing their testimonies and helping me form mine.
When I reached out to my own Youth Minister, a talented woman
named Phyllis Phillips, she jumped at the opportunity to help me. I haven’t spoken to her in ten years, but not only did she respond
right away with prayers, but she mailed me the guide she used to
plan retreats back when I was a teenager!
If a Youth Ministry sounds like something you or someone you
love would be a part of, please find our Vision Team at the
Collaborative Cookout on September 13th. Our kickoff event is
September 19th at St Martha’s (More to Come!) . Keep an eye on the bulletin for testimonies of our youth (read here) as well as a brief posting of a Youth Minister position.
