Today’s Solemnity of the Holy Trinity is a kind of extension of the coming of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, and a bridge to the Solemnity of the Holy Body and Blood of Christ (Corpus Christi) next Sunday. In preparation for that high feast, I want to share some good news....

The food pantry of Plainville appreciates every donation. Donated food can be dropped off by the elevator. The next pickup will be Sunday 6/18. There is also a weather protected box located behind the Methodist Church for non-perishable food donations throughout the week.

In the beginning, the Spirit of God, the giver of life, hovered over the form of lifeless matter; he swept over the waters (Gn 2:1). Thereby he made the creation possible as it came into being through the Word of God. The Word, through whom all things were made, became man. He was conceived....

St. Martha has surpassed our Catholic Appeal goal of $17,584. We are truly grateful to the 89 parishioners and families that helped us reach this important milestone. The Catholic Appeal makes a meaningful difference in putting faith into action to support the parishes, schools and communities within our Archdiocese.

Last year, our Plainville-Wrentham Catholic Collaborative conducted a survey of area Catholics, which we called “We’re Listening to You”. In addition to those who are actively involved in parish life, we made special efforts to get the word out to those who are not actively....

Holy Day of Obligation The Ascension of the Lord is Thursday May 18. There will be 9:00 am Mass at St. Mary and 7:00 pm Mass at St. Martha.
